About Olivia Skillings
Olivia Skillings is the founder and head coach of The Artemis Project, where she is dedicated to making endurance sports more accessible, empowering, and enjoyable for athletes of all backgrounds. As a female coach working in a predominantly male space, she brings a thoughtful and holistic coaching philosophy focused on building confidence, strength, and resilience. Drawing from her own experience as a collegiate athlete and years of coaching, Olivia strives to create supportive environments where individuals can grow both athletically and personally. Based in Whitefish, Montana, she spends as much time as possible exploring and training in the mountains.
Education and Experience
BA from Bates College in Sociology and Education
Founder and head coach of The Artemis Project
Current head coach of the Glacier Nordic Competition Team
Level 100 coaching certification from U.S. Ski & Snowboard
Level III coaching certification from Professional Ski Instructors of America
Currently pursuing a Master’s in Sport Coaching from the University of Colorado
Awarded two grants from U.S. Ski & Snowboard
Completed two weeks of World Cup coaching and professional development through a U.S. Ski & Snowboard grant
Athletic Background
Competed in four years of Division I Nordic Skiing at Bates College
Competed in one year of Division III Track and Field at Bates
Passionate endurance athlete with experience across multiple endurance sports

Coaching Process

Holistic Approach
Training will be individualized to meet you wherever you are at. Training will be a balanced mix of longer runs, intensity runs, shorter runs as well as cross training and strength training.

I wiIl meet you where you are at in your running journey and create an individualized plan based on your feedback. I will push you and hold you accountable to the goals we set together.
